Race Studio is the private video production and publishing tool used by the owner of the Separate DATA YouTube channel. It is not a public service for connecting other people's channels.

Information used

When the channel owner authorizes Google access, Race Studio receives OAuth credentials, reads the authorized channel's ID and name, and reads the processing, visibility and scheduling status of videos uploaded by the tool. It uses this access to upload videos, supply English titles and descriptions, and schedule their publication.

Public statistical datasets and public YouTube video statistics are also used to create charts and research topics. Race Studio does not request access to Gmail, contacts, Google Drive files, or the owner's Google password.

Storage and sharing

OAuth credentials are stored in restricted files on the owner's server. The initial authorization may use the owner's computer before credentials are transferred to that server. Video files, source records and upload status records are stored on the server. Credentials are sent to Google for authorization and refresh; videos and their metadata are sent to YouTube for publication. Race Studio does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train general-purpose AI models.

Retention and control

Published video files are normally removed from the server after 14 days. Production source records and publishing records remain until the owner removes them. OAuth credentials remain until disconnected or revoked. The owner can stop the publishing service and remove the stored credentials and records from the server.

Google access can be revoked at Google Account connections. Revoking access or pausing Race Studio does not delete videos already uploaded to YouTube or cancel their scheduled release. Those videos can be managed in YouTube Studio.
